King's House Gardens

King's House lies on King Street in Thetford, and its gardens can be found to the rear, accessible through a gate to the right of the house. The house and gardens are owned and managed by the G.W. Staniforth Trust for the benefit of the people of Thetford. The gardens are open to the public every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The gates are locked at 4pm each day.

The gardens are used to host events, including the annual Winter Wonderland, and outdoor theatre. They feature a small rememberance garden and a peace pole.

There are two two hard tennis courts in the Gardens. In the past, these were used by Staniforth Thetford Tennis Club and then the Titan Tennis Academy, but more recently have been used by Thetford Netball Club.

There is a bowling green and clubhouse, which is home to the G.W. Staniforth Bowls Club.

In 2019, the G.W. Staniforth Trust is ran a Survey on King's House and Gardens to get people's views on possible improvements and future events there.
