Abbey Meadows

Abbey Meadows is an area of public open space along the the River Little Ouse in Thetford, between Thetford Priory, the Abbey Estate, and Brandon Road. A number of footpaths and cyclepaths cross the land, which is a covered by a mixture of grass, trees and water-meadow species. The pedestrian and cycle bridge in the middle is named "Blaydon Bridge" after a former Town Clerk G. R. Blaydon. The riverside path from Blaydon Bridge back towards town on the southern bank of the river is known as Haling Path.

The land is owned and maintained by Breckland District Council. On Saturday mornings at 9am, Thetford Parkrun takes place here, starting from near the Priory Car Park.
