Thetford Conservation Area

A Conservation Area, is a built-up area designated under the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 as an area worthy of preservation or enhancement because of its special architectural or historic interest. Special planning restrictions apply in such areas. Thetford's Conservation area was introduced in 1793 and the current boundary is shown on the map below.

The boundary of the Conservation Area can also be seen on the Official Policies Maps from Breckland District Council.
