Breckland Local Plan
The Breckland Local Plan is a formal planning document that was developed by Breckland District Council. It underwent a public examination by the Planning Inspectorate, who then required changes to be made. Anotehr round of consultation followed, and then the plan was formally adopted by the council on 28th November 2019. It now provides planning policy within the disrtict up to 2036.
The new Breckland Local Plan replaces the previous 1999 Local Plan, and also a number of other planning policies, including the 2012 Thetford Area Action Plan. However a number of policies from the latter document have been transfered ('saved') to the new plan.
